CHAPTER SIX
THE PAST
We've all heard the mantra "You Can't Live Your Life In The Past". However, it's the human condition to swim in the memories trapped in another time of our lives. The people we once were; those we once knew; the experiences we once had - moments so powerful, so personally significant, that they never left our subconscious. Good, and bad, they formed who we are today, and without them, we wouldn't be whole. But rather, a shell of who we see in the mirror. So, despite the adage mentioned above, not only can we not escape our past, we, for the most part, don't want to. The imprinted moments in time's past visit us daily. The hue of a summer day, the inexplicable scent of a perfume, and a song. Triggers that instantly transport you back to the day they changed you forever. A moment's escape, a reset, that serves to heal our present condition. For us, The Tÿme Bänditz, this philosophy was, and continues to be, our mission statement. To recreate the music from our collective past, specifically the decade that defined us personally, and provide a sonic portal for those yearning to embrace a dormant memory. And thru this shared experience, delivered with love, passion, and fantasy, we hope that you leave happier than when you arrived. So we say to the cosmos, and to the one who first proclaimed "You Can't Live Your Life In The Past", we agree. After all, the Present is the author of the Past. But we can still allow ourselves the occasional escape. To mitigate stress, heal the soul, and ride through time on the magic carpet that is - Music. The Tÿme Bänditz
