The Tÿme Bänditz
A time-travel heist that turned into a vow.
A crew of interstellar pirates sailed a starship modeled after a 16th-century pirate galleon. Known across the galaxy as The Khronos Nostos, it's powered by solar sails, equipped with quantum rigging, and has cannons tuned to temporal distortion. Their mission was simple: Roam the galaxies, collect lost debris of civilizations, and sell it to the highest bidder. The goal was money. Always money.
Until it wasn't.
Deep in uncharted space, drifting between galaxies, they discovered a relic unlike any other: A damaged Earth satellite from the 1980s, still faintly transmitting its final signal. Ghostly radio waves carried fragments of music, DJ chatter, and cultural artifacts frozen in time. The call letters whispered through the void: KTYM.
What began as salvage became obsession. What was meant for sale became sacred. The Tÿme Bänditz made a choice no pirate crew ever makes:
They would return the teasure.
As they journeyed through time, toward Earth, they immersed themselves in 1980s culture. Absorbing the music, the attitude, the rebellion, and the joy. When they arrived in the present day, they discovered the frequency once occupied by KTYM had been overtaken. Undeterred, the crew released the satellite back into orbit and hijacked the signal.
Reality bent. The station transformed. The music was returned. The frequency remembered.
KTYM was reborn.
Now believing themselves the sworn caretakers of this cultural treasure, The Tÿme Bänditz abandoned piracy for performance. With the help of KTYM, and its time-lost 1980s Disc Jockey "Midnight" Jack Callahan, they brought the music directly to Earth - from their ship - not as theives, but as messengers.
To them, the band became more than a crew. They became kin. Brothers. Pirates turned musicians, bound not by blood, but by rhythm, loyalty, and a shared mission:
Return the music of the 80s to those who need it most.
Anchoring the sound, that feels both ancient and futuristic, they stand at the center of the myth - part outlaw, part guardian, part mystery. Four travelers without a birthplace. Pirates without a past. Musicians entrusted with the treasure that transcended time.
And somewhere, drifting quietly between the stars, the cosmos hums along to their groove.
