CHAPTER TWO

CREW

CAELON VIREX
Guitar ~ Keyboards ~ Vocals Architect of Frequency Caelon Virex is believed to originate from a star system whwre sound and ligt are inseperable. Where frequencies are shaped, not played. raised among crystalline cities orbiting a blue giant star, he learned to weave melody and harmony as othrs learn language. Guitar and keyboard are, to him, the same instrament. Two expressions of a single signal. With the Tÿme Bänditz, Caelon acts as translator between eras, layering synthesizers and strings to reconstruct the emotional architecture of the 1980s. His voice carries encoded harmonics, guiding lost signals home, and reminding time how it once felt. BRAD HASKELL When not embodying Caelon, Brad works in the television and film industry as a gaffer and camera operator. Brad grew up in Southern California and has been a musician for 25 years.
RYDER KEST
Guitar ~ Vocals Signal Breaker Ryder Kest was forged in motion. He grew up drifting between outlaw colonies and unregistered trade routes, learning to survive through speed, instinct, and controlled chaos. His guitar work reflects this origin - raw, immeiate, and dangerous - cutting through silence like a breach in hull plating. When the lost satellite was recovered, Ryder was the first to insist the signal be played at full power. Static and all. His voice carries the defiance of the era they returned - loud, imperfect, unapologetic - a reminder that the 1980s were never meant to be preserved quietly. BRAYTON CARPENTER When Brayton steps out of Ryder's world, he resumes his as a Hollywood costumer where he, and his wife Amy, operate their own business. Their work can be seen on some of the largest films in the fantasy genre. Born and raised in Southern California, he too, has been a musician for 25 years.
THANE ORBIT
Drums ~ Percussion ~ Vocals Keeper of the Pulse Thane Orbit comes from a moon caught in perpetual rotation, where survival depends on rhythm and timing. There, storms strike in cycles, and gravity itself pulses. Before joining The Tÿme Bänditz, Thane served as a shipwright and systems calibrator, aligning engines to celestial cycles. It was discovered, by accident, that the ship stabilized when he played. Now, his drums do more than keep time - they hold it. His voice, low and grounding, anchors performances during temporal instability, ensuring every journey returns safely to the present. WILL BARRATT When not behind the kit, sending his beat to the cosmos, Will works as a Director of Photography, primarily for feature films, having been in the industry for four decades. Before entering the film industry, he worked as a professional musician, making him the most tenured of all of the Bänditz. Originally from Massachusetts, Will is Married, with two sons, and lives in the Los Angeles area.
BOSEPHUS JONES
Bass Keeper of the Deep Signal Bosephus Jones first appears in the records without origin coordinates. No birth star. No homeworld logged. Only a drifting signal - low, steady, and impossibly ancient. He is believed to have been raised across multiple systems, surving on instinct, with, and whatever gravity well would tolerate him next. Some logs suggest he learned to listen before he learned to speak - to feel the vibration of worlds through his feet. His bass frequencies are said to align with planetary cores, bending rhythm the way gravity bends light. JIM WRIGHT When the top hat comes off, and the Fender sets on the rack, Jim works as a Director of Photography and Camera Operator, having worked in broadcast television for 34 years. He fell in love with the bass at 13, crediting Paul McCartney as his inspiration. While his passion for bass began at an early age, he did not start to playing till later in life, now having 11 comprehensive years of experience. Originally from San Francisco, he has lived in the Los Angeles area for 28 years. He is married with 4 kids.
